I agree.. I think there was a Big Bang, but that someone, something put it into motionW where did the gases for the BB come fr?om, No matter how far you ggo back there something at the top o the chain... You might as well not think about it. It's like a computer wondering what was in its RAM the last time it was turned on. It can't possibly ever know. The same thing goes for who built it. The computer doesn't care whether it was built by a person or a dog. So God could be a dog...we'd never know. ------------------------------ Topic No. 5 Date: Mon, 17 Jul 1995 15:19:50 -0400 From: Michael Shurpik To: tool-list@porsche.visix.com Subject: ps Message-ID: <199507171919.PAA25134@maastricht.lcs.mit.edu> assuming, of course, that you think that God's only act was to set things in motion...the watchmaker God. ------------------------------ Topic No. 6 Date: Mon, 17 Jul 95 17:06:00 PDT From: Scot Dunlap To: tool-list Subject: RE: religion Message-ID: <300AFB51@OSPADMIN.OSP.STATE.NC.US> >Well, yeah, maybe something set the big bang in motion, but the way I >figure it, it doesn't matter who or what that was...anything that existed >before the big bang is irrelevant because it doesn't affect our universe. >You might as well not think about it. > It's like a computer wondering what was in its RAM the last time it was >turned on. Message-ID: ----------It's Over----------- Well, that was lots of fun. Don't send me any more votes, or I'll make fun of you for not following directions :) The last time we did this, 4 Degrees won (as I recall, it had 6 votes), followed by Sober with 3. Neat to note that EVERY song on _Undertow_ got at least one vote. _Opiate_ lost out major. While two days ago there was a solid 3-way-tie, a late rally changed everything. For the record, I voted for "Flood." But it sure is funny how some things don't change.
