ANYONE INTERESTED PLEASE REPLY TO: ETNL43B@PRODIGY.COM enter the subject as: YOUR EXTREME GENEROSITY just to make my ego go up ;) and so I can look for them right away. It could take a little while for me to tape them, but I promise I will. I someday might also come looking for you to return the favor for me. :) if you reply to AOL I probably wont get it or if I do I wont care because I asked nicely. NIVEK OGRE: you expressed interest in a trade. I was wondering, as your name implies, you like Skinny Puppy, so would you have any Skinny Puppy imports (are there any?) or even any older ones? I have Last Rights and really like it (esp. Love In Vein, The Killing Game and Lust Chance) What ones would you recomend? TOOLOPHILE, I think we were going to trade, actuall I don't remember. I'll have to go back and look at my old mail to figure it out. I think you were going to tape me Opium Den, Power, Dragging Me Down or Sober '94--- whichever two you have. I wa going to tape you whichever Tools I have that you don't. Also, I always thought industrial was supposed to recreate factory sounds or something, not sound like it came from a machine. Hell, most rap and dance sounds like it comes from a machine so could that be considered industrial? I didn't think so. Not meant to be an insult or a put down or anything, just the way I talk and respond to things. I would never consider NIN to be industrial although I wouldn't consider myself to be an industrial expert either. I have heard KMFDM, Front 242, Killing Joke and someone else who I cant think of at the moment. I dunno. I hate classifying bands anyway. They're either good or bad, (which, as can be seen in the last weeks posts, the opinions on that one can be EXTREMELY diverse.) KABIR: where in N Falmouth did you stay? With relatives? Any around my age (16) that I might know? I don't mind living here, but when I graduate I want to move to Boston. I don't think it's all that quiet but I guess you might if you're from a bigger city (Philly? I cant remember...) NUTBUTTER: could you please send me that mailing list file? I would have sent to all those addresses but it seemed kind of complicated and this seemed easier. Please send it to: ETNL43B@PRODIGY.COM I think there was one more thing but I forgot. The main rumor I have heard that upsets the fuck out of me is that MJK has aids, and that the band has broken up because of this. According to my friend it was sent to his friend in a final tool fan club newsletter that was written by MJK himself explaining the situation. I am not sure if this is true, but I talked to a guy at a record store here in town (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) and he says that the release date to their 3rd album is now pushed back to dec 95, and that he as well has heard these rumors that the band has broken up... I dont know what to believe but the evidence looks rather incriminating...anyone care to offer an insight? ------------------------------ Topic No. 8 Date: 23 Aug 1995 14:38:33 U From: "Pete Meincke" To: tool-list@Visix.COM Subject: Re: Rampid Rumors Message-ID: <9508231835.AA19722@unet.net.com> Reply to: RE>Rampid Rumors See if you can get a copy of the newsletter. Anyway, I read the message about someone in TOOL having A.I.D.S. - I also heard about it and agree that it probably isn't true. Also, I saw a kid w/ a Tool shirt on at a Suicidal show about a year back. I know this does not at all sound weird but, the shirt had that funky lil dude from the "Sober" vid on it. I havn't seen the shirt in any product list 'er nuthun'. My question being - Was it an actual Tool shirt or was it a damn good screen print? -later- *ROB* RMH ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 23 Aug 1995 21:22:39 -0400 From: Michael Shurpik To: tool-list@visix.com Subject: Re: Rampid Rumors Message-ID: <199508240122.VAA19819@utrecht.lcs.mit.edu> >3rd album is now pushed back to dec 95 Pushed back?
