psychotica opened. the best thing i can say about them is that they left.

Tool came on at about 9:20. they had the dual-movie screens going again.

After stinkfist (yes, i yelled 'chickenweasel'), maynard made a comment
about
the weather ("we brought some warm weather with us...")

Before swamp song (?), maynard made some reference to the school he
graduated
from in ohio (class of '82).

Before prison sex, maynard dedicated the song to his stepfather, sid. he 
mumbled something about inviting him to the show, but because it was kinda 
short notice, he didn't think that he made it...
        they played the extra verse similar to amy's new years boot,
        except the beginning was kinda different...

Before jimmy, Maynard said something like "this next song is kinda a
continuation
or sequel to prison sex. for those of you who can think for yourselves,
you'll
know what i mean..."
        they fucked up a little towards the end of jimmy (?). i think
        something on danny's kit broke, because there was a roadie
        out there fucking around while they were still playing...

Before half empty, mjk talked about the old warner bros. cartoons, with
the devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other -- trying to affect
the characters decisions. he said that they were both looking out for
their best interest, the just had different ways of doing it. this song
is about such dilemmas.

At some point around here, mjk introduced justin, and instead of saying 
that he was from England, went off about the french part of Belgium.
weird. the band fucks with us yet again.

Before cold and ugly, mjk said "this is a rush song", and shrugged his
shoulders while they guys started playing the opening bars to some rush
song (sorry, dunno which one). then they bridged into cold and ugly,
fuckin'
_a_w_e_s_o_m_e_!

sober had a really long intro. at first I thought it was going to be
third eye, but danny hit the main intro to sober once, and for about 3
minutes I knew it was going to be sober before anybody else....

Before opiate, mjk announced that it was their last song, "on our first
record...".

According to mjk, ænema is about going back to older ways, and flushing
out all of the shit...
        this was the encore, and they were kicking some pretty serious
ass,
        until some asshole jumped up on stage, ran into mjk, then jumped
        off. i didn't see exactly what the assfuck did, but apparently
        mjk was pissed, because he threw down the mic and stormed off the
        stage. danny, adam, and justin finished the rest of the song, but
        by that point everybody was pretty pissed at that lame-ass piece
        of shit...

All in all, they played for about 90 minutes. they were in really good
form. mjk was shirtless and had a black stripe painted on him, dividing
him in half. justin had a red dot on his forehead, and his hair up in
'horns'.  adam just kinda stood there like a statue, and danny simply
kicked all manner of ass...! 

That's about it.  Damn, that was fuckin' awesome... I can't wait until
they come back during the sprint tour... ;)
