A Review of the Fall 1996 Tour

Date: November 21

From: Aaron Lefton (AJLEFTON@concentric.net) 11/21 i thought this show was an interesting introduction to the band, i hadn't seen them previously. they sounded wonderful, however maynard didn't speek to much so the show seemed less intimate than i had anticipated. They started with an outstanding performance of stinkfist which was followed by a small amount of chickenweasles. Where were you guys? the show continued with stunning visuals in the background that included tool's videos. they played a version of prison sex which seemed to have an added verse, and followed it with jimmy. (maynard explained the relationship between the two songs). the band played swamp song, hooker, eulogy (fantastic) and ended with Aenima. the band took an interesting break on stage during the show that resembled a huddle and resulted in an offensive explosion for their encore. final analysis: show sounded great but felt cold and short. aaron aaron@alliedtours.com
