From: Toni Searle (yu108720@yorku.ca) Subject: Concert Review Toronto Dec. 1 At the Warehouse Most of what is to be known about the show has been mentioned by others in their reviews. Half-Blue, half-white Maynard, while Justin was white, and Adam was a deep blue. Psychotica opened, and put on an adequate show, but demonstrated the difference between a competant band and Tool. After an agonizing wait, amplified by a building organ solo Tool took the stage. Opened with Zeppelin's "No Quarter" Then played 10 more songs, Stinkfist, 46 & 2, Prison Sex, Jimmy, H., Swamp Song, Sober, Eulogy, Opiate, AEnema. Stressed was choosing compasion over fear. Also interesting was the introduction to Opiate where the reverend praised the core of religion and the essense of the message as one he embraces, but condemmed the "agents" of Allah, Jesus, Buddah ect.. for fucking everything up. Also added was lyrics in the middle of Prison Sex, Maynard starts to cry out against his father (any chance of tracking those down Kabir?). Likes: Tool sounded incredible, number of songs, effects (the split animation reminded me of a giant ink blot test) Dislikes: Assholes in the crowd. "One jerk screamed shut up and play!" while the Reverand was preaching. The increase of people in the mosh pit using their elbow to poke the shit out of you when your trying to watch the damn show espcecially short chicks that get you in the balls) Out of 10: 9+ --
