Review written by: Adam (battery81@yahoo.com) Review posted on: 08/21/98 17:21:09 I was not nearly as familiar with Tool when I saw the show as I wish I was. Since I didn't really know any of the songs (other than H., Stinkfist, and Sober), I only really remember that they did a great job. They followed Megadeth, who played like crap (and I am a Megadeth fan, I swear). Megadeth had so much distortion on that it was unintelligible; Tool in contrast came through clearly on the giant PA system. The only complaints I could have with the show were the Nissan Pavilion staff, who were far and away the most anal retentive cocksucking assholes I have ever had the displeasure to encounter. I hope Tool stops by again soon; I want to recognize what songs they're playing. Aenima has been in my stereo pretty much non-stop since the show, and I'm transcribing the title track's drum parts (carefully, not like that shit up on the page now) and I'll post it ASAP. Danny Carey is one good fucking drummer.

Review written by: Peter (cyciphus@aol.com) Review posted on: 08/12/98 21:46:42 I had never seen Tool live before. I was very impressed. Hearing Maynard breathing for the intro to nema, got me and the entire crowd moving. My only complaint was not being able to see the band, I was in the lawn, being hit with sod, pizza boxes, condom s, and other things. They didn't play a few songs I really wanted to hear/see live, Cold & Ugly and Jerk-Off. I also would have liked to have heard all of Third Eye, especially Bill Hicks' rants and raves about drugs, my only other complaint was the amoun t of time they wasted jamming and talking, hearing more mosh-inducing songs would have been better and hearing my most personal Tool song, Prison Sex, live would have been an ethereal expierience, but all in all it was worth the price of addmission, they were my favorite act, but definately not the best act. I was VERY dissapointed in King Buzz O and the Melins, they sucked live, but they did autograph my friend's chest. Soulfly was awesome. I saw Coal Chamber live for the 3rd time, they're much better in a small club like Jaxx where you can see them and feel them better Big Truck and Loco still got me moving but . I don't particularly like Sevendust, but they put on a great show. The two worst bands were probably the two that most people wanted to seeand payed the most for in merchandise, Ozzy (I respect him, but that's about it) and Megadeth, I went so far as to walk across the lawn to sit on the other side of the hill and stare at the parking lot rather than deal with thier noise. The band that I think put on the best show was definately Limp Bizkit, I was thinking of going to see them with Korn for family values, but now i know that i'm going to see them, they kicked ass, they got the best reaction from the croud and I really wish Fred would have kept egging the fans on to rush the stage, I would have loved to have beaten on some shitty renta-cops and riot police. Tool though still was the best band there, they had the best singer, bassist, drummer, and guitarist and the best special guest guitarist, thier songs were the best, thier music was the best and thier fans were the best, the only other fans who would think of throwing sod into the orchestra seating are Pantera fans(too bad they weren't there). I'm definately gonna go see Tool the next time t hey're in the area.

Review written by: Tim Weber (tweber@barefoot.net) Review posted on: 08/11/98 14:54:02 Sound quality: Top notch....I could hear Maynard whispering but couldn't quite understand what he was saying (of course) Drums, bass, and guitar/s all sounded fine. Performance quality: Maynards writhing/dance moves were really quite interesting...and dressing as an evangelist only to remove that costume to expose womens underwear(complete with breasts). Danny seemed to really enjoy his instramental before "Sober". It was the last date on the tour, so I think every one was glad to be done with Oz fest, and feeling good about it all. Song Selection:I enjoyed all the tunes they played very much, but.... they tended to go into long drawn out spacey jams...this would be fine except that they only have an hour to play. I thought that took away from the show. If you're the Grateful Dead and are playing 2 long sets thats great....but if you're playing some festival where set lenght is short...I wished they had stuck to songs. They played something I hadn't heard before. Used an additional guitarist....sounded great. I'd love to find out what that was...something new, something old?!?!? what? Visual/Video effects: All were mind blowing...especially the Timothy Leary thing during the "third eye" jam.....made me wish I was hallucinating...or..made me wish I wasn't..

Review written by: Voo Doo Child (vuduch@aol.com) Review posted on: 08/07/98 14:13:07 Well it was my first time seeing tool....i wasnt to familiar with them except i had the Aenima cd. They completely blew me away. Ive never seen such an emotionally intsense band in my life. All day i had been seeing bands that did pretty good(except limp bizkit..they were a HUGE disappointment)but when tool came on it was all worth it and it was the high point of the best cocnert days in my life. The next time they come relatively close to richmond va..im going to see them except this time im gonna be in the front row instead of the very back

Review written by: Dan (quinnd@medimmune.com) Review posted on: 08/05/98 21:20:49 Once again, seeing Tool is an experience that has no equal. It appears that some of the earlier reviews were cut off, so I present to you a set list that is in order: 1) Aenema 2) Hooker with a Penis 3) Stinkfist 4) You Lied 5) Bottom 6) Sober 7) Opiate 8) Flood It appeared to me that unlike the radio favorite, Stinkfist, where everyone gets involved in one way or another, there was a lack of activity during Sober, another radio favorite. Perhaps the long introduction put the rockers into an alcohol induced slee p. And lastly, as I have been anticipating, the Opiate/Flood combo was incredible. See you all at Red Rocks next week.

Review written by: Tim E. (teckels@fbr.com) Review posted on: 08/04/98 08:17:33 I must say that I was impressed with the entire line-up at Ozzfest '98. Tool was awesome as usual - especially the part when BuzzMelvin joined them for a few songs. The band did go into this six or seven minute jam session which kind of reminded of Spinal Tap's Freeform Jazz Odyssey, for all that are familiar with Spinal Tap. Maynard's evangelist gear and comments during the show were great - he is by far one of the best singers out there. The line-up at Ozzfest was most impressive when viewed on the second stage. System of a Down, whose lead singer changes pitches, tempo and tone better then anyone, was probably one of my favorite acts. Kilgore and Snot were great as well. If you haven't bought any of these three band's CD's do yourself a favor and get them soon. Buzz Melvin, on the second stage, was good. On the main stage I would have to say that Limp Bizkit was damn good - Fred Durst almost started a riot by having the entire lawn section plow down into the "mosh pit" area. Coal Chamber was good. Ozzy and his band were very good - the drummer from Faith No More definitely adds a boost to Ozzy's show. The only bad part for me was Megadeath - I mean how many solo's can Dave do in one act??? I must have seen a five minute solo for each song.

Review written by: White man from town (JHazouri@whatever.com) Review posted on: 08/03/98 23:44:02 I went to Ozzfest for 3 main reasons 1.Ozzy 2.Megadeth 3.my favorite band. Tool. First they came out and MJK was dressed(as any Tool fan could tell) as reverend Maynard. They played Aenima and hooker with a penis. These are two of their heavier tunes, and the croud, including myself, rocked to them, thouhg I was hoping to hear something earier like H or Eulogy. Stnkfist was awesome and I thrilled to Sober, and Opiate. Bottom was exceelent and the new song I think is you lied was impressive. Flood was an excellent song live. I was mesmerized. It is now in my top 5 favorite Tool songs. My only complaint is to the anal fuck-o type fans. The only reason I got pavillian seats was to see Tool up close. I got to my seat and some dumb ass is in my seat. He begs me not to get security on him (Its probably what he would have done, the uptight prick)I sit down and try to be friendly with him. He had seen Tool twice before and and I hadn't so I tried to ask him some questions about it before they started. He started getting real shitty with me. I accidendly said brother Maynard instead of reverend maynard and I thought the guy was going to hit me. Hey Fuck-o, I hope you read this. We all like good music. We're all Tool fans. Its meant to be enjoyed. Quit being so fucking anal about it. Other than that the show was great. Limp bizkut showed security what for and tore the joint up. Coal chamber was awesome, whats-her-name is gorgous. Megadeth rocked! Ozzy Kicked ass. Sevendust was cool. Incubus and killgore were pretty good, and unfortunately I miissed motorhead. sorry. But I highly recommend seeing all of these bands. Especially Tool. They were The most original band there.

Review written by: BIG JIM (carmetta@mail.bcpl.lib.md.us) Review posted on: 08/03/98 22:16:27 The only reason I went to Ozzfest was to see Tool. And even though there were 20,000 drunken Ozzy fans didn't spoil my experience. Tool was tight as always. The music seemed to travel through Maynard like electricity onto the crowd. This was the 3rd time I've seen Tool and still I am amazed. I seemed to be hypnotized by the whole show, I could'nt move but just stand there and stare in awe. They are pure energy and emotion. Beautiful. ....By the way where is that song 'You Lied' from...What is MP3..... .Hey NATEREZNOR you probably would enjoyed Tool a lot more if you wouldn't over-analyze everything.jackass.

Review written by: alan eddie (alaneddie@hotmail.com) Review posted on: 08/03/98 17:16:51 to: maynard and the band members, i didnt come 3000miles from ireland just to see tool but it was an ambition this summer. i was not in good humour at the concert and when not in good humour i get very sceptical. i had a feeling that you guys were not going to put in the effort for your one hour slot at ozzfest, as you are doing your own shows and for other reasons. perhaps i was your toughest critic in the crowd(i am v. familiar with all your work). the point being you did not let me down, you thrilled me with a breathtaking live show, that sunk every other act, which i dont think was your intention, but no apologies for talent. coal chamber are kind of original, life of agong are ok, and so were the rest but it just always seemed to be that the idea of mad/crazy/cool......is to shout "motherfucker" at the crowd all the time. (thats to you lead singer limp bizkit, if you dont give a shit dress in a bikini next show). not only had tool the best singer/songs/drummer/bass/lead at ozzfest but they extend their art where others dont bother......the dressing up,the immense work on video)i study animation)the bullshit that the fans can chew on (prison sex) in a nutshell its all entertainment and currently tool seem to be the best at it. i cannot make one of their own shows which i regret, tool are something you need to see, they for me are untouchable(at least by all the bands at ozzfest) remember too that as a fan i am biased. ozzy was good too, but i had seen what i had come to see.

Review written by: alex (rbeard@netkonnect.net) Review posted on: 08/03/98 17:16:20 First I have to say this: THE NISSAN PAVILION SUCKS. Allright now thats off my chest I can tell you about tool. This was the first time I saw tool and I wasn't sure what to expect. When the band started up you couldn't really tell if it was maynard or just some blond guy in a suit. Also, the basses and guy playing guitar were all dressed up too, so I couldn't tell who they were the entire time. they stared will Aenima, and hooker with a penis. Then maynard did a little bit of preaching before they s tarted stinkfist. They was the only song the crowd really responded to. They did a song that hasn't been on any album, but was still really cool. So after that maynard striped down to just a bra and shorts and sat their as they played the begining of th ird eye. They showed distorted pictures of tim leary and he made a cool speach about chaos and drugs and not to follows rules ( it sounded like the liner notes on Aenima) the band keep jaming and maynard just sat their. At first I thought It wasn't co ol, but I then I reallised he was building up and something awesome was going to happen. I was not disapointed. they broke the long lull jam with sober, which was AMazing. they then did bottum opiate and the flood. Tool was great, but as a whole I thi nk that the ozzfest was weak. this is simply because the nissan pivilion is SEATED and controlled by facist assholes. As a finally note I would say that limp bizkit was second best. the lead singer ran into the stadium and into the very back. He then ye lled " follow me" and a ton a people flooded down the stars, into the front were they weren't suposed to be. it was a big fuck you to the security, whicth I could apreciate.

Review written by: Andy (jmob@bznet.com) Review posted on: 08/03/98 14:12:25 I felt like a big kid, like a kid who knew that he was going to get exactly what he asked Santa for, and he's just staring underneath the Christmas tree imagining getting that bike or air rifle or, in this case, Tool. This was the first time I saw them, and they were all my overactive imagination hoped they would be, and then some. I could feel the music better than I could feel my own heartbeat. I couldn't move during "Aenema" or "Hooker with a Penis", I just had to sit there and stare under my eyebrows, totally paralyzed and breathing with the rhythm. I felt like someone had hurled me bakwards off a cliff blindfolded. My hands fell asleep and felt like they were floating. At "Stinkfist", I stood up. If you were there, you may have seen me. I was the nerdy looking dude with the embryo shirt who was the only one in my whole section standing up. Everyone around me was over the hill and kept complaining for Ozzy to come on. Somebody spilled beer on my leg right when "Bottom" started, the people next to me kept getting in my way leaving their seats, and the woman behind me kept saying in unkind terms that Maynard was homosexual. But I didn't even notice. I just stood and rocked forward and back like Rain Man or an autistic savant. I was biting my nails. I felt like my brain was expanding to fill the pavilion. By "Flood" I was writhing and shaking my head. I was probably a clean target for all the people on the lawn throwing pizza boxes and lemons and trash. It was intense, profound, beautiful, moving. I'd compare it to seeing the mind of God. Well, no, that's a huge exaggeration, but it was my first show and I don't understand these people who say the band was lethargic. Then again, I was a virgin- it was my first time. (I had mixed feelings about the lights and the video screens because I don't like musicians who feel that the music is not enough as it Betrays insecuities and doubts about their own talent, but on the other hand it added an atmosphere no other band there achieved. Besides, I wasn't really watching the screens. In short, my friend- who had never even heard Tool until that day- put it best: "Good band."

Review written by: Mav (Mavrik21@prodigy.net) Review posted on: 08/03/98 11:09:30 Last Ozzfest show and thank God (or Rev. Maynard...) for an awesome set for the finale. And thank God for Ozzfest to be over as well. It was nice to see Tool but much rather see them on Tool's terms not Ozzy's. Well, all of Aug. is Tool so O'Grady... make room for Parag, Parthiv, Amar, BJ and myself cause that 29th is looking pretty good. Here is the set for the LAST Ozzfest show which went off without a hitch - audio was great unlike some of the other shows: nima - learned that from Jean ;o) stinkfist hooker with a penis you lied - first time I heard it live... very cool sober - with an entrancing opening bottom opiate flood ...and Adam (Norton), now you see Tool in a totally different perspective !!! See you all in Cali....

Review written by: natereznor (philz@visuallink.com) Review posted on: 08/03/98 10:58:00 i hope somebody reads this. there have been a few reviews of the nissan show already, but i thought i would contribute a few thoughts. im going to talk about the whole show that i saw. i will mostly concentrate on T00Ls performance, but i will say a little about each band i can remember, and i will try to tie the concert in with a statement about todays condition of kids and music, as they represent the state of our culture. i know this sounds more like an essay than a review, but i implore you to continue; you might enjoy what i have to say. with the sound many of these hardcore / new generation metal bands try to get, the eq comes out as trebly distorted static, muddy rumbling bass, and clear, pounding drums. so most of the bands (especially through earplugs) sounded like noise-padded drumbeats. many bands had good drummers. the one for sevendust played often with one arm and held up his other, as if he were a robot or a puppet. the drummer for coal chamber couldnt keep time. nick menza of megadeth played a short but good drum solo before 'peace sells . . . but whos buying,' and danny did some cool stuff during the long intro to sober. as mentioned below, maynard stripped down to a bra and boxers and sat yoga-style to meditate while a black light illuminated their rune-symbol prop. adam and justin made some random ambient noise with scratching guitar strings and delay pedals and flangers even. but the interlude was great and all of a sudden i found myself induced to a trip-like trance. i was glad T00L played the opiate / flood combo; my girlfriend was hoping they would, since opiate is one of her favorite songs. i hoped to hear the slow version of pushit, because i was impressed by the .mp3 i heard. i really does climb and build to a monstrous crescendo. its one of my favorite songs, along with flood, because of the excellent dynamics. i think dynamics and depth were missing from many of the straightforward, heavily detuned, strictly 4/4 growling angst sets of the other bands. soulfly, though, did have a neat portion of their set devoted to an all percussion jam, with extras from (i think) life of agony; they brought out congas and steel things and sticks. they all threw their drumsticks into the crowd when they were finished. it was great. (did anyone else notice how often soulfly said their bands name during the songs?) i was struck by the difference between T00Ls set this time, compared to theirs at lollapalooza last year. ozzfests set seemed deliberately more lathargic. they played all of their songs at slower tempo (which usually isnt the case at live gigs), and they didnt move very much . . . well, at all. maynard sort of inherited the role of the evangelist and showed his age by stumbling around and throwing himself backwards at the beat of the music, as if it were beating him up. then, after he stripped and transformed back into the meditative lead singer, he began to do more of the familiar undulations and gyrations from lollapalooza. but overall, it felt like the band deliberately understated the energy and emotion in their music. it made it a bit tough for me to throw myself fully into the songs, because i felt them lulling and hulking when they should have been cycling forward with confidence and certainty. i particularly remember the sluggish version of sober. where maynard could have screamed the chorus, streaming with the anguish of 'wwwhhhyyyyyyyyyyyy cant,' he settled down on top of the beat like some hen waiting patiently for an egg to hatch. he rested his eyes and sang the line perfunctorily, which again understated its power. and in opiate, he changed the last screaming 'to rape you!' from a cracked and angry gutteral eruption, to a deliberate desccending note (an actual note!). but maynard still gave power to his vocals by holding notes out for long intervals, sometimes of many measures. his vocals were impeccable; i dont remember hearing him falter at any high notes or sustains (and that is impressive, considering how difficult T00Ls vocals lines are). and many of the lines he sang in his beautifully wavering and fluttering voice blossomed with ingenious structures of melody. i particularly remember 'you lied.' i had never heard 'you lied,' and found that to be a pretty song. it was slow and relaxing, and even though the guitars and bass only played around one key center, the melody of the vocals decorated the E chord with a gregorian chant-like fluidity and breathy beauty. i felt as if much of the depth of T00Ls set and music went unnoticed by many concertgoers (probably because they rendered themselves unintelligably drunk). i was sad when people shouted or 'woooooooooooo!'d during the slower portions of the set (as in sobers tim leary speech which drowned under the fraternity boys beer bellowing). and often during the rocking parts of the set, old-school metal fans (i.e. mostly booze-guzzling rednecks) found it more appropriate to shove their neighbors instead of listen and be swept up in the rollingly complex polyrhythms of the bands danny-driven fervor. but i was in a good position to see and enjoy the band and the video setup clearly. i appreciated the computer-enhanced images from videos like 'beyond the minds eye,' as well as the shots from some eye operation, the drudging white-collar soldier-clones of industry played during opiate, the clips from stinkfist (er, i mean 'track #1') and other animations, and the good ol' smokebox (even though it wasnt played during nema, where you would expect. i was also surprised that the DJ played aphex twin while the band was setting up, because you wouldnt expect ambient break-beat to be present at a mostly organic guitar/bass/drums burntfest. i like electronic music, so i was distressed (although i expected it) to hear how many of the bands sounded alike. i especially thought coal chamber were run-of-the-mill. they dressed like mansonites and played like children of the koRn. but the toys they brought out on stage were cute: soldiers, inflatable balls, and big crayons. soulfly had about the same (lack of) ingenuity, except that the vocals had some cool rhytms in contrast to the drums, and it often sounded like ritual chanting. and you gotsta give em props for the percussion part i mentioned above. sevendust had a little more dynamics with the band often stopping and starting parts in unison, but i couldnt see a bass player (and even if i could i probably wouldnt have been able to hear him anyway amidst the cacaphonic din of live music). it was good when the singer actually sang. i didnt hear much of limp bizkits set, but as usual, the guitars were submerged under drums and yelling. but they did a good job of entertaining and involving the crowd; i appreciated that. at one point, there must have been a hundred people coming out of that fucking toilet! the whole house was moving during 'jump around.' i actually like megadeth because im a fan from the 'rust in peace' / 'countdown to extinction' era. i was surprised that they played songs off 'rust.' marty friedman and dave ellefson had a lot of energy and ran around a lot more than most other performers did; i appreciated that. i was surprised at how many megadeth fans were there; i didnt expect them to be such a big presence on the bill, seeing that they represented an older stage of metal (can anyone say 'hair'?) than the more modern thrashers. i regret that i didnt go to see much of the second-stage bands. i bet they were interesting. overall, i thought ozzfest was an encompassing comment on the state of hard-edge guitar music today (despite the absence of pioneers like the increasingly brutal pantera, the increasingly tame and lame metallica, and even the electronically-fueled white zombie). and the crowd was a representative portion, in intelligence and diversity (or lack thereof), of many counter-culture kids today. rebellion and punk abound, the childred adorned themselves with multifarious piercings and clothing from gothic dresses to baggy jnc-yos, from eyebrows to nipples. one guy hung padlocks from his ears (the lock actually went through his ears!). the question i asked myself, after looking at everyone (including myself), was: is ours a fashion, a generation, a lifestyle of assimilation and conformity? or is it one yearning for distinction, diversity, and independence? or do both states embrace and devour each other? if youve gotten this far, i thank you for reading my review and ask that you look around, and the people, the bands, and the entire culture that defines the times today. ask yourself--are you satisfied with the depth and meaning and true creativity coming from people, especially the artists, who are paid to create and express themselves? if not, seek the good in the things that are deep and meaningful; strive to make a change in yourself, and any new new profundity or peace you might find will spread out to teem through your peers and the world surrounding (and including) you.

Review written by: Drew Lazaroff (lazaroff@uu.net) Review posted on: 08/03/98 01:46:46 Okay...I just returned home from this evening's event spectacular, The Ozzfest. I thought the Ozzfest was simply smashing...especially from Limp Bizkut(how do you spell their name?) on. Limp got all the kids fired up and their rap covers were thrilling, but their dirty toilet bowl had me laughing from start to finish. Oh, I was also thrilled that I was able to give the middle finger as much as I did during their set...I have'nt done that in awhile. Anyway, Megadeth was A-okay...nice to hear some of them songs, you know? And Dave Mustaine still seemed bitter about that whole Metallica thing. And then on came our mutual loved ones, Tool. Reverend Maynard visited us at first, as they kicked into their set which is listed in an above review. I was extremely pleased with the set. Bottom, and Opiate/Flood were a few I had not seen in this my 4th Tool show After awhile Maynards wig came off and soon after that he was showing his boobs and boxers. Just before Sober, and as he was fully undressing, he sank to the ground and began a meditation like squat for a few minutes while the rest of the boys played their respective instruments in a most psychadelic sorta way...it was during this period when I thought Maynard stared right into my eyes for a minute. I attempted to hear him telepathetically, but it didn't work. He was probably staring at the big breasted girl sitting right behind me. Darn, my heart did race for a bit after that though, I thought I was having some sorta flashback, but I settled down. Well some of Maynards speaking interludes were as follows: -He staged an auction for an official backstage Ozzfest pass that would get you into any Ozzfest show from then on. It got up to $40 before he stated that the woman showing her breasts automatically wins. -The standard: "Be sure to stop by our merchandise stand on your way out" during Hooker w/ a Penis. -Some mumbling about Ozzy being next -He preached for a bit asking for Hallaluyah's and Jesus Fucking Christs -A comment on how we were all dressed and not having sex and how cool it would be if in fact we were all undressed and having sex. -I cant remember anymore Other notes: Ozzy is a God. He rocks. Ozzy sprays the entire crowd with water during his set and at the very end Ozzy confetti shoots all over you(The confetti literally said Ozzy on it) And best of all, at the end of his set the entire cast of Ozzfest rushed on stage. Maynard and Danny were up there taking pictures and Maynard was working a Cam-corder. Maynard paraded around the stage before some guy from Soulfly was excellent enough to hand Maynard the mic to help Ozzy in a verse of "Paranoid" After a few lines he returned the mic and sorta slipped away. He then found "Jo", Ozzy's guitarist and pickpocketed him while in the midst of a song...very hilarious I found that. Anyway, I will end this transmission at this time, but I had an awesome time, if you didn't your expectations are a bit too high and just deal with it, how you could not enjoy all of these bands together is beyond me. Okay, no more scolding. I must sleep now, tomorrow is Monday. Damn, I wish it was Sunday, cause that's my fun day, my I dont have to run day... Peace and Love to all inhabitants of our Earth Drew PS-please excuse any spelling errors

Review written by: brian arsenault (seeyuaunty@aol.com) Review posted on: 08/03/98 00:00:53 ok. first off id like to say to anyone who didnt get to go to ozzfest, you didnt miss much. i spent over $50 bucks on my nice up-close ticket just to see tool. (it was NOT worth it) i mean sure tool was great and all but ive never been around so many beer drinking-marlboro smoking-bad tattoo having rednecks in my entire life. i think if this tour had come around about 3 years ago, i wouldve liked it alot more... ok that being said, on to tool...uh...the setlist. hmmm. it couldve been a lil better. now im not complaining or anything but no eulogy? no forty-six & 2? :( it went something like this: nima hooker w/ a penis stinkfist you lied bottom loooooong intro sober opiate flood now to me, that doesnt look like much of a hitlist but its their songs i guess they can do whatever the hell they want...anyways, highlights include: maynard tits (complete with nipples) the rednecks right in front of me just couldnt find the beauty in th em i suppose. they elicited many middle fingers. between songs at one point this guy in front of me (who was right in front of the stage) called maynard a "perry ferrel wannabee." maynard turned around and gave him this look not unlike the one clint eastw ood gives people in those cop movies. just staring right through him. it was pretty intense. maynard encouraging everyone to buy a new shirt during hooker was nice. too bad they were 28 BUCKS. oh well. thats about it i guess. as you can probably tell the show wasnt that far removed from other tool shows. this was my 3rd time seeing them so id heard all this shit before. it was disappointing that they hadnt thought up much new stuff but oh well...matt and i didnt stay for ozzy. we'd had our fill of rednec ks for the year...alright im done
