Review written by: keira (Antimosity@aol.com) Review posted on: 08/27/98 16:15:48 i love tool their better everytime i see them....but don't they get sick of doing shows that are almost the same as the one they did the day before? of all the bands ever i expected them to do different shows. unlike ozzy who's shows were identical (including the solos)from one day to the next thats to be expected but not tool the shows were a little different, they said different things and changed the order of 2 songs but for the most part i knew which song was next and what was going to be said. overall it was a great time. you might checkout the denver show that's what i'm camparing this one too by the way i feel bad for people in utah that was the most fucked up place to see a concert. i suggest that if any of you ever get out of there, you should make a special trip to red rocks in denver of all the shows i saw this summer that was the best place it's a whole new expereance.

Review written by: Hildy (Athame333) Review posted on: 08/20/98 03:55:15 The show was awsome no doubt about it...Tool is my all time favorite band. I had never been to any of their shows, so this was all new and exciting to me. The Melvins opened, they were alright, the guitar playing was extremely good. When Tool came out the entire place livened up. Everyone was on their feet screaming. He came out dressed like a woman, with a long black wig, long black dress with a slit up the side, and combat boots. Me being bisexual totally loved this, it made him even sexier. They opened with Part of Me, then Eulogy. He talked about keychains that they wouldnt let them sell because they said "condoms are for pussies and assholes" and everyone was afraid of that word. Next was Sober, and it was incredible...I have never heard a b and sound so much like thier CD. The visuals up on the screen were definetly cool, I think they hynotized the entire crowd... About three songs into it he stripped into his bra and panties.....I will forever remember him up there on stage during their rem ake of Pushit with a small blue light behind him bent over his microphone...They gave me this feeling I cannot describe. They put me in that vulnerable spot which Maynard often talked about...I lost myself completely in their music....They played a new s ong that was very beautiful, and gave me chills all over. During Stinkfist I threatened to rip my clothes off, but my friends didnt want me drawing any attention. I cried during the remake of Pushit, it was so so so beautiful...Tool is beautiful...They finished up with Opiate, I kept my arms extended to them the whole time, and white lights flashed, and if there was a god, it would be Maynard...The last song was one off Undertow....It was the best night of my life, I will never forget it...and hopefully next time I get to get GA...

Review written by: #1 Tool Fan (liquid@rebels.org) Review posted on: 08/19/98 03:18:30 Well, I decided to write a review of the Salt Lake City show because only a couple of the current reviews are worth reading. I'll start by saying I was very, very dissapointed in the Melvins. They didn't even give the crowd a chance to breath. But hey, some dudes next to me dug the Melvins, so.. whatever works. Maynard started the show and introduced the Melvins. After the Melvins set, some spanish speaking dude came out and gave a speech that ended with "TOOOOOOOL". That was enough to get the crowd going. (if anybody knows what he said, please email me.. please) Then tool came out (danny first, followed by the female like Maynard, Justin, then Adam) Then a symbol was uncovered .. it was behind Maynard the whole show. Looked like this: | | ----- | | | * --|-- /| / | / | | ------- /|\ / | \ / | \ where there is a * there was a faucet type thing? It was all encased in a circle and was blue and red neon. I am wondering what it means so anyone.. give me your opinion. ( do see the upside down cross with the ray of light coming out, *i think?*) but the set list went like this: Part of Me Eulogy Stinkfist (with "mother in law" Buzz) You Lied 46&2 Sober (10 minute intro) Pushit (new version) No Quarter nema ------- Opiate Flood ------- Hooker with a Penis (disco version, *no band*) All together a kickass set (except I wanted to hear H. and Undertow, prison sex would have been cool too) Maynard kept talking about "Condoms are for Pussies and Assholes".. it was like he was insulted that they couldn't sell them in utah. it was rather funny. :) But I have a couple Bootlegs etc.. I would like to trade or talk to a Tool fan in Utah (not any of you gothic phonies, or manson lovers) I think Maynard made fun of Manson with his costume for the show. all the other reviews cover the info I left out. Thanks (btw, I think they showed clips of the new video for Eulogy when they played it. i'm not sure) #1 Tool Fan.

Review written by: Todd Seamons (tseamons@cc.usu.edu) Review posted on: 08/18/98 19:42:20 The Melvins sucked. That's all that needs to be said about that. The E Center sound, however, was very good. It sounded better than Saltair, where the last two TOOL shows were held. First thing, a man came out to introduce the band. I dont know who he was and I also dont know what he said exactly because he spoke in spanish. He did however say something about homosexuals and bisexuals. If anyone that was there knows what he said I'd be interested in hearing. Anyway the band came out after he yelled "TOOL!". Maynard was dressed in a tight black dress with a Cher wig on and lots of makeup. My friend suggested he looked like he was poking fun at Marilyn Manson. We had guessed that they would open with Stinkfist, but that was not the case. Part Of Me started the show. Sounded excellent. After that came Stinkfist. Maynard mentioned that it was a song "about absolute loathe". Now the rest gets somewhat jumbled because I was trying to snake my way to the front, but a list of songs played includes: 46 and 2, Sober, No Quarter (Led Zeppelin), a song with Buzz from the Melvins (?), Enema, Song 9 from Undertow (I'm brainfarting the title), Pushit, which they did in a new way (Maynard mentioned that they were doing this at all concerts, playing an old song in a new way so you can "hear the songs for the first time again", and they ended with the classic Utah anthem, Opiate. All throughout the show they had movies playing on a screen behind them. At one point they sat down and watched with the crowd. It was, I think Timothy Leary speaking about the use of LSD. I cant be sure. Also throughout the show Maynard kept mentioning some keychains that were to be sold with T-shirts and stuff, but they werent allowed to be sold in Utah. They apparently came with a condom that said "condoms are for pussies and assholes". I guess he was a little pissed off about that so he kept talking about that and how we were going to find out about it anyway. He also encouraged the crowd to peel off and hump like wild pigs during the show. Actually that whole thing got a little old for me. At the end of the show when the lights came up they had a movie on that showed a woman bent over with a mouth where her pussy should be singing a very funny version of Hooker With a Penis. A singing penis helped out at parts. It was hilarious! Overall it was a great show! I have seen TOOL 4 times now and this show ranks number 2 out of 4. I must admit that I'd like to see them play the song Undertow and Jerk Off live, but maybe next time..... Todd

Review written by: Forrest Grosz (tool69@xpressweb.com) Review posted on: 08/18/98 02:35:05 I would just like to say how good the show was...."yeah... like everyone else"...I drove over 600 miles with a couple of my freinds just to see the SLC show......and i will tell you it was worth every fucking mile of that trip! I thinq it was the best thing i have ever seen in my life...... the way maynard danced to his music just fit perfectly......but ill have to say i was xpecting a little more energy from the other members.....but it was still great....and if anyone knows where i could get some of those condom keychains ...PLEAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!! let me know~!!!!!!!!!

Review written by: Joab McLaughlin (mclaugjn@tcg.com) Review posted on: 08/17/98 14:40:46 The event staff just couldn't hold us back. Shortly after Tool started my brothers and I plowed through onto the main floor and headed straight for center stage. The crowd was intense. We stood our ground for the fist two songs then my brothers had to back out for a break. I stayed for another song then rode the mosh pit up front. I got a good up close look at the band this way. Unfortunately I had to rush security again to get on the main floor. I took a break then made my way back to the pit again. for the last half of the show I was right in front of Maynard. I had two people in front of me. The crowd has getting tired so it wasn't to hard to stay. At the end of the show the drummer threw a drum stick right over my head and landed about three people to my left. The fight was on. After a long battle one emerged with the stick. I enjoyed the new version of Push It the most. I hope to see a live album from Tool soon with this new version. Tool blasted us with a lot of new variations of their music. I wasn't disappointed with any of the show. Unfortunately I have had to lower myself to buying bootlegs. TOOL.... IF YOU WANT MY MONEY,,,, RELEASE A LIVE CD!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!! Hats off to all the little kids who managed to survive the pit.

Review written by: Brandon J (BSST37D@Prodigy.com) Review posted on: 08/17/98 04:04:11 I just felt like writing a review on the Tool Concert at SLC. I have to say it was the greatest concert I have ever been to, I bought tickets for it the first day they went on sale and I've been waiting for it ever since. And I was not dissapointed, being a long time tool fan I loved every song they played, but I can't remember every one and which order they came in, Anyways, First Manyard came out and introduced the Melvins. This was the first time i heard them and they were alright for a while, then they just got annoying and I was really wanting them out and tool on, finally they left and I still cheered for them because if they are good enough for tool i won't hate them. Tool came out and evrybody stood up and cheered.Manyard came out in a long black dress with a slit up the thigh and a black wig and looked like Morticia Adams. They rocked and rocked and manyard introduced buzz from the melvins as his "stepmother" and they done Stinkfist with him. Manyard took a minute to tell the crowd about keychains they wanted to sell that said "Condoms are for Pussies and Assholes" but i guess because we're in utah they couldn't sell them. The whole concert was great the place went wild when they played SOBER and they done a new slower version of Pushit, they had a screen in the background for the people on acid(too bad that wasn't me) you could smell the fumes of pot all the time, but i was next to an asshole who kept liting up ciggarets and I could tell he wasnt really into tool or what they are all about because it seemed he wasn't jumping up and down or getting into any of the songs. Unlike me, by the end of the concert i coundn't hardly hear and I lost my voice from screaming too much. They done one hell of an encore opiate and I loved the concert. The only thing I didn't like about it was they didn't play H. or my favorite song "Third Eye" And thats my only complaint.

Review written by: LS Review posted on: 08/17/98 02:32:20 Words cannot describe this experience. It is an experience of a lifetime that must be witnessed to understand the greatness. Maynard came out to introduce the Melvins saying, "Uuuutah!" "Did you guys come to see Tool? Well, you'll get your chance, just not right now, because right now your going to get the chance to prove that you are openminded considerate human beings by wantching the Melvins!" If i liked that kind of music the Melvins wouls have been pretty cool. They weren't bad, its just it would have been better with breaks in between songs and maybe a little chit chat, But thats my oppinion. I have to give em' credit though. Melvins played from 7:45 to 8:30. Come 9:00 there was a introduction to Tool said in spanish. I don't know exactly what was said, but all i knew was that Tool was coming, and thats all that mattered. Meanwhile some guy old enough to be my dad came in and sat down next to me all stoked to see tool again. Tool opened with Part of Me, and couldn't have chosen a better opener. Yogi Bear started dancin around next to me and all, he was pretty stoked, as well as me. The crowd was going wild near where i was sitting. There were about a hundered kids if not more lining up along the stairs getting ready to break through security to get on the floor. Wanting to join them very badley, i withheld from it fearing of maybe getting cought and thrown out of the show completely. Lets just say as soon as the music started, all things went CRAZY! It was quite intense. The video showing on the screen behind the band was quite crazy looking even bieng sober and clean. It was greatly entertaining though. Maynard came out in a long black curly wig and a long black dress on. Quite attractive might i add. On the left of the stage was Danny and his whole set ready to get toolin and then to the right of Maynard was Justin then Adam. After Part of Me, they lead straight into Eulogy which was one of my favorites to hear. After Eulogy, Maynard said, "We have a special guest with us tonight, my mother inlaw, Buzz from the Melvins" Stinkfist was then played after being described as "This is a song about deep, pationate, love" followed by You Lied. Next was a video with Timothy Leary talking about "question authority and think for yourselves" Very interesting! 46&2 was then played. Around this time Maynard told us, "We brought along some keychains with condoms in them to sell, but they wouldn't let us. On the keychain it said "condoms are for pussies and xssholes" your going to find out, i don't know why they won't let us give those out. They can't keep it from you, your going to find out, everyone repeat after me, Condoms are for pussies and xssholes!" "we want to see some energy going out in the crowd, lose the clothes and create some energy for us, find a pole, fill a hole." Next a song was played accompanied by Danny on the drums, it repeated, "this must be a psychadelic experience" or something close to that, after this, it lead into the extended intro of Sober. "We need your cooperation on this next one, We've been trying out something new on this tour, and it seems to be working well, we need you to just close your eyes and find that comfterble, yet vulnerable place during this song and meet us at the other side." Next they played the slow and vulnerable version of Pushit. Next Maynard said,"this is another song we don't play that often." They then played No Quarter which is a Led Zepplin song. Maynard then said "Once again, what are condoms used for? yes thats right, for pussies and xssholes, your going to find out, they can't hide it from you" "I havn't seen any energy created yet, i want to see you xxcking, dont mind us, we'll just provide the background porno music, just pretend were not here. You have one more chance to create some of that energy this is our last song. This next song has been described as bad realestate choices and water sports, but its really about how we are all tied togather as one" Aenema was then played. After this, the band sat around at the bottom of the drum set and talked, They then came back on to play a great connected version of Opiate and Flood. "goodnight" As Tool left the stage they played the disco version of Hooker With a Penis along with a quite interesting yet entertaining cartoon. Tool left the stage at 11:00 which gave them 2 full hours of play time which was greatly appreciated by everyone! The quotes i have put in here that Maynard said are not exact so don't hold me acountable. Also, ooops, my bad if camera's weren't alloud. Yes, if you saw the flashes, that was me, i couldn't help but sneak in a camera to get some pictures, 16 to be exact. ***Does anyone know who the artist was of the music that was beign played before the Melvins and before Tool???? If anyone knows, please msg me. It would be greatly appreciated. Also, if anyone has or knows where to get a copy of the show on VHS, or cassette or burned cd, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE e- mail me and let me know, i am willing to pay good money for these. Also Tool, if you read these, You are the best i have seen and the best i will ever see in my life, no concert can top the experience that you provided for us all. THANKS!!!!!

Review written by: Someone Whose Name Isn't Archibald (tipodeemun@aol.com) Review posted on: 08/17/98 02:29:53 We arrived an hour early, and had plenty of time to get in our seats. We were sitting in the eighth row from the floor, directly in front of the stage. We had excellent seats. The wait seemed to be more than an hour, and when the lights finally dimme d, the half-full arena erupted with cheers and whistles. Maynard and the Melvins came out onto the stage, Maynard grabbed the microphone and called out, "Utah!," dragging the word out like an announcer might do. "Utah, did you come here to see Tool?" A t this, the crowd once again began to cheer, and Maynard, obviously pleased with the response, said, "Well, we're going to. But first, we're going to give you a chance to prove that you're open-minded, compassionate human beings by listening to the Melvi ns for a while." With that, he left the stage and the Melvins began to play. By the time Tool came on, there wasn't an empty seat anywhere, and there was a rush to the floor area. The Event Staff couldn't keep everyone back, and quite a few lucky peopl e dashed off into the mosh pit. I remember watching for Maynard in the white t-shirt and shorts he was wearing when he introduced the Melvins, and being surprised when he came out in a black (gray?) evening gown and a black wig. They started off with Pa rt of Me, and the crowd was immediately on its feet. When introducing nima, Maynard said, "Some people think this song is about bad real estate choices. Others think it's about rectal water sports. But it's really about diving back into the collective pool of consciousness and learning to swim." By about the fifth song in, Maynard was only wearing a bra and underwear. The lighting was choreographed perfectly with the songs, as were the videos, which were absolutely stunning. They did a different ve rsion of Pushit, saying that they had been looking at it in a different light and that they wanted to try it out on us, but that they needed our permission and our help. They asked us to close our eyes and let ourselves become vulnerable. The version th ey played was absolutely beautiful, but the crowd seemed restless, and they finished it up the way it is on the album. Right before they played Opiate, Maynard said something to the effect of, "Think for yourself, arm yourself with knowledge, and no one can keep you down." The crowd was completely into the music, though Maynard had to encourage the mosh pitters to start dancing because they were standing so still. By the end of the concert, everyone was moving, even the people up in the seats. Maynard commanded everyone's attention right from the start. I had to fight quite a few times with myself to take my eyes off of Maynard to look at the video screen. He really seemed to be into the songs. Afterwards, everyone seemed to rush for the exits and we got stranded in a sea of people. It was truly a great experience.

Review written by: James Stanard (stanard@cs.utah.edu) Review posted on: 08/16/98 20:30:40 I've always been under the impression that TooL was an insightful band, but I discovered more last night at the concert. It was much more than seeing MJK's face, or having the surreal overhead display flashing its carnal images. I think it was the congregation of energy and emotion that brought home Maynard's message. One phrase he said felt instantaneously enlightening. I can't quote it exactly, but only one other reviewer even came close. It was something like, "entering the oceans of our collective unconscious and learning to swim again." I can't get the words right, but the idea was something like that. It refers to our society as a whole, and the human race, and Jung's theory that our minds are all one entity. We need to tap into that and become "compassionate human beings" again. I also began to realize the importance of Maynard saying "there's no love in me" during Push It. Alluding to the raw physical act of sex which need not have love to be significant. Finally, when he was talking about picking up a book, and turning off the T.V. or putting on your mother's clothes and watching porno on the ol' VHS. He said, "It's up to you." Damn right. We can do all of these things, or none of these things. It's no one else's right to tell us how to live our lives. Other than getting a little arrogant, I'd say Maynard has become more and more enlightened. Live long and prosper.

Review written by: Dan (dilsaver@inconnect.com) Review posted on: 08/16/98 18:18:25 I had read all of the negative press about the Melvin's, but hadn't heard them before. I'm generally pretty open minded about music, so I showed up expecting nothing. I figured if they opened for Tool they had to be a decent band. After the first song, I was even considering buying an album between shows. Then there was a song that was a rip off of Tool. Then lots of feedback. Then another Tool rip off (even the guitar effects). Then more feedback. Then a Mettalica rip off. More feedback. Then another Tool like song. Then I plugged my ears and started talking to everyone around me about how bad the band sounded, how bad their music was and how utterly stupid the lyrics I could make out were. The Melvins suck. I really tried Maynard, but they're trying too hard to be like Tool and failing to impress me with it. Tool was amazing. Maynard came out and did the usual plea for the audience to accept the Melvins. When he appeared later he was wearing a black wig and a tight black dress with a thigh high slit. Maynard wore the dress for several songs, constantly spreading his legs and hiking the slit. Surprisingly, at least two people have said in post show commentary that Maynard looked good in the dress. Maynard eventually went down to bra and underwear/hot pants. The screen was in full effect, semi-porn and all. (Surprisingly for Utah). Oddly, the people running the show refused to carry some keychains with condoms attached that said, "Condoms are for pussys and assholes." Maynard, of course, made the audience chant the phrase several times during the concert and made quite a scene of the whole thing. The sound for the band was incredible. I could understand everything Maynard said, and only a few songs lyrics were covered. The band claims to have tried out a new version of Pushit on Utah. It started slowly, showcasing Maynards vocals. He prefaced it with, "We've been thinking a lot about this song lately. Putting it under a new light. We'd like to try it out tonight, but we need your help. We need you to go someplace. Somewhere vulnerable." Then the song started, and was incredible. Until the third chorus the song was Maynard with light background. Then it fell to the normal Pushit anger and frustration. It was phenomenal. I have always felt that I understood Tool fairly well - their thoughts, feelings and what they wanted those listening to go through. After having been to the show I can only say that for the first time I have heard Tool at the proper volume, seen Maynard move as I wish to when listening to them and SEEN what the music should be. This band has long been one that I have argued is defining of music. Their rythms are horribly complex, the songs deep and full of meaning to anyone willing to listen. This was affirmed by the concert a hundred fold.

Review written by: Third Eye Opend (ChaosDecay@aol.com) Review posted on: 08/16/98 16:00:29 The Salt lake city show was very mind-opening, yet a joke in the same night. I got there about 3:30 to find no one other than my self and 2 of my accomplices, we waited in the parking lot and expanded our minds. at 4:30 a few people started to show up, but these were not true TooL fans. we stood in the parking lot as more and more church going 14 year old bastards came. then about 7:00 They opened they mighty gates, we made our way into the building only to find all the young nowhere close to TooL fans spending all they're money on T-shirts, they pushed and shoved acting like the T-shirt was more important than the band them selves. this was what I found to be a big joke, but there's more. when we got to the floor and waited until MJK came out and announced the melvins, the crowed started yelling, but in a good way. they played for about 45 mins, then all those who cheered hung they're heads low. they stage staff started setting up for TooL,took them about 25 mins. then the time of judgement came the lights went out as first Danny took his place followed by Maynard, Justin and Adam. they opened with they song we know as "Part of Me" all the vulnerable, young kids and many adults tried to sing along but were stunned to have never heard the song before. they felt happy when Sober came about and sang along with radio version lyrics. TooL played a mind expanding version of Pushit. But most of the crowed failed to understand it's meaning. There's much more to this show than I've said, but that's why I have a ticket. TooL played a great show, but in the wrong location. I'm sorry if I've offended anyone one, but if you took offence you're just one of many trend followers like 90% of the people there. So to the other 10% you know who you are, keep you're third eye open...

Review written by: Anton (Adrameleck@aol.com) Review posted on: 08/16/98 03:19:10 I just want to thank Tool and all the people involved in bringing such a great show like this on the road. If anybody out there is trying to deciede on going to see Tool in there town, do your self a favor and GOOOO !!! I recommend wearing earplugs, it makes it sound a lot better plus you have the added advatage of listing to Tool well into your older years. There was one thing that was fucked up, apparently Tool had these key chains that they wanted to se ll that had a condom attached and a saying that read Condoms are for Pussies and Assholes but the arena would'nt let them sale them. If anybody wants to pick me up one at the show they see or if anybody in the band happens to be reading this I would greatly appreciate you sending me one. I will pay you for it, or if your just kind and loving and want to send me one for free I will acce pt that too. E-mail me at Adrameleck@aol.com and I can give you an address. Thanks guys for the new version of Pushit. It's great ! Blessed Be, Anton.

Review written by: Vance (lootmore@aol.com) Review posted on: 08/16/98 03:17:34 Hi. I took notes. Maynard brought out the Melvins. "UUUUUtah. Are you here to see Tool. Well you will get what you want, just not right now. you are now going to be given the chance to show what compassionate humans you are and listen to the Melvins." They were good. Before Tool hit the stage a guy said something rather lenghty and ended it will "Tooooooooool" Maynard came out in a black and silver evening gown with a split up the front. He had a black wig on and did very much resemble Cher. they opened with PART OF ME. He addressed the crowd during the break again "UUUUUUtah. A few things have changed since we were last here. For one we are older. (I think he was refering to the fact he was a rather beautiful woman) He said " We were going to have key chains for sale that had a condom on it. And on the condom read condoms are for pussies and assholes. But, someone doesn't want you to know that." EULOGY. Long ending. "For this next song I would like to welcome my mother in law Buzz from the Melvins." "This is a song about deep passionate love. STINKFIST. The slit in Maynard's dress opened just enough to reveil that he was wearing green panties. There was an extended middle part and he sang Elvis' lyrics at the end. I belive that the next song was YOU LIED. I have never heard it so I can't be sure. But as he was singing, it sounded as if it was some sort of tribal code. It was touching. He had red eyes. "I would like you to generate some love in the crowd. grab a pole, fill a hole. Fuck." Timothy Leary was on screen asking the crowd to put themselves in a vulerable place. And to think for yourself. He also said something about Social caos and religion. 46&2. Maynard took off the wig and dress and pulled on some black boxer briefs. He looked like a manequin. A well built manequin with breasts. There was two guys playing some sort of video game on the screen. I mean it wasn't maynard playing this intellingence cube game I have read about. It was a video fo them playing the game. (The meaning of life) Maynard was sitting in front of Danny watching him play. There were these neon strings hanging from the screen behind the video screen. Maynard was croutching and rubbing and squeezing his arm. Danny played a drum solo and they melded into SOBER. A moment we will never see again. There were two skinny nude girls who looked like they were covered in some sort of corosive material. they were trying to comfort each other. A little disturbing yet real. He screamed "I want what I want." Beautiful. " we are trying something different this tour. We are looking at one of our songs in a different light. From a different angle. We need your help and permission to get you there. Please close you eyes and go to that comfortable yet vunerable place in side you and I will see you on the other side." PUSHIT. He started with "I saw the gap again today" part and maybe three minutes later the song took the form every one is familar with. There was some great bass part in the middle. He had red eyes again. I pointed it out to my friend Toby and he clued me in that it was eye shadow so when Maynard closed his eyes they glowed Red. "Here is another one we don't do very often" NO QUARTER. I think Led Zepelin should pay Tool royalties for doing this song so well. He sang very quitely "look at you" there was more during the slow part but I couldn't make it out. some one other than Danny was hitting the gong toward the end. Maynard was crouching and yelling. He showed the Spock sign at the end. "You were suposed to be naked and fucking by now. What gives? Let us make some nice porno background music for you." "This next song is about smart real estate and rectal water sports. Well actually it is about choosing compassion over fear and remembering that we are conected to one another. It is about learning to swim again." Enema. I think he sang "fret for your hartbeat". At the end he held up his index and middle fingers and wraped them around each other as if to say "together". They chated on the drum stage. The crowd was loud. Maynard held his finger to his lips and then pointed to Danny and made the universal sleep gesture. "I want you to say something for me. What are condoms for? Pussies and assholes that is right. I mean your going to find out anyway. They should have just let us sell them." "Arm yourself with knowledge. If you are a person who believes in eternal life, it works both backwards and forwards doesn't it. Work hard, have fun, jack off into a high powered fan and watch porno movies in your mother's clothes. OPIATE. He screamed perfectly and again held up two fingers to say "together". Right into FLOOD. The smoke box was on the screen. "good night" That Hooker video is so funny. Captivating. We left to the sounds of kids singing "Welcome to my world of toys" over and over again.

I still think I was more impressed the first time I saw them, but this was a great show! Maynard quotes: "Go home and jack off in front of a high speed fan." "Go home and watch pornography wearing your mothers clothes." "Condoms are for pussies and assholes!" Maynard talked about how they wouldn't allow them to sell some key rings they had brought because they had a condom in them, and had the inscription "condoms are for pussies and assholes" Maynard wore the drag queen outfit. I must say, he looked damn good in a dress! They played the "slower" version of Pushit, and it was great...they ended it very powerfully and it was probably the best rendition I have ever heard. I really liked the screen behind them, lots of tripped out images adn at the end there was a picture of a naked woman who had a singing pussy. Interesting. Tool is always pushing the limits. And I thought it was a great show. Although I decided that I am getting a little too old for the mosh pit stuff, but it was nice to just stand back at watch an incredible show.

I along with all of my friends agreed if they're here, we're there. I had been waiting for this night forever, and it was in no way a disappointment. Anyone agree? send me some mail, we'll chat... bluufrog

I saw their show tonight and have to say for the frist half of the show thought that Maynard really had tits. The show was great!
