the "track #1" fiasco have you ever heard such nonsense?

MTV does occasionally show this video; however, they have entitled it "Track #1" instead of "Stinkfist." The reasoning goes that "Stinkfist" is too offensive for public consumption, even though there are much more offensive videos making it to the airwaves. When this video first premiered, fans were encouraged to send mail to MTV voicing their feelings on this matter from this page. The next week, 120 Minutes host Matt Pinfield acknowledged the stupidity of this "edit" in response to the LOTS of email he says they got...

"After mentioning the video and trying to say that they had to call it 'Track 1', he said, "Some people find the title of the song offensive. I don't, but what are you going to do? We have to call it 'Track #1'. It's the first song on the album. A lot of you wrote in to complain about this, but hey, that's just the way it has to be. If you don't know the name of the song, go out and buy the album. Here's TOOL with 'Track #1'." The funny part of it was while he was saying the part about if you don't know the name of the song to buy the album, he was waving his fist in front of his face."

We got heard.
