page: title: Tool To Follow Ozzfest With U.S. Tour author: Jonathan Cohen Tool has begun lining up a summer U.S. tour to follow European headlining dates and a stint with the first Ozzfest tour of that region. Overseas dates begin today (May 10) in Paris and wrap June 15 in Oslo, Norway, with the U.S. leg due to begin July 11 in Bakersfield, Calif. Tickets for that show, as well as stops in Los Angeles and Sacramento, Calif., go on sale tomorrow via Ticketmaster. Tomahawk will open select dates. Tool is touring in support of last year's "Lateralus" (Volcano), which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 1.8 million copies in the U.S. to date, according to SoundScan. The latest single from the set, "Parabola," is No. 21 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart and No. 32 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks survey. For the European Ozzfest stops, Tool will be flanked by tour founder Ozzy Osbourne and, at various shows, System Of A Down, Slayer, American Head Charge, Kittie, and Adema, among others.
