Tool do it backwards: Their platinum-selling Undertow was unadventurous and commercial, while Aenima is a jagged, brooding nightmare filled with roaring guitars, abrupt rhythm shifts and jarring sound effects. One of 1996's strangest and strongest alt-metal records.
