If you've heard the new Tool album, Aenima, you may recognize the voice-over samples as belonging to the late Texas-based comedian Bill Hicks. Fans of Hicks, who died of pancreatic cancer in 1994, can also look forward to a full length album entitled "Rant in E Minor", which should be out on Rykodisc in February. "Our fans will search him out" explained Tool's Maynard James Keenan with regard to why the band included snippets from the late comedian Bill Hicks on their new album, Aenima. "They'll get Bill's tapes and listen to what he's talking about, listen to our album and then hopefully have enough intellect to make the leap and say ' I see where the connection is' " Keenan says his bands first exposure to Hicks was when a fan gave them a tape after a show. ---------------------
