page: title: Once more, it's Tool time author: Once more, it's Tool time With Slipknot, System of a Down and even the venerable Iggy Pop leading the way, heavy rock 'n' roll is making its umpteenth comeback. Of all the acts associated with this complex, deep and dirgy rock movement, Tool is rapidly becoming the most popular. "It hasn't been an easy battle, but our main thing all along was that we recognized from the first time we got together in our little rehearsal space that there was something special," drummer Danny Carey recently told The Boston Globe. "We've tried to remain true to the chemistry that happens when the four of us get together. We want to take that as far as we can and hopefully keep communicating with each other on deeper and deeper levels." Tool took time off to reflect on the tragic events surrounding the terrorist attacks, but the band is glad to [be] back on tour. The quartet's show last week at Boston's 20,000-seat Tweeter Center sold out in 50 minutes. Tool comes to the Verizon Amphitheatre in Charlotte Oct. 6. The band's most recent album is called "Lateralus," whcih is a former No. 1. Several of the band's songs have an apocalyptic flavor, which sort of suits the moment.
